At about 1:30am in the morning Mummy woke up & coughed. (She thought she had wee'd herself hehe) But in actual fact it was her waters breaking.
Panic stricken...as she had not showered that day, realising that it was all starting she jumped into the shower to wash herself, her hair and shave!?
Mummy was not prepared at all.....I was not due to come along for another 3 weeks!
While Mummy was in the shower doubled up in pain, Daddy rang the hospital and Nanny at 2:00am and they told Daddy to bring Mummy down at 3:00am.
By the time Mummy had finished washing herself, her hair and having contractions....we finally got to the hospital at 3:15am. The nurse lady checked Mummy out and she was already 6cm dilated.
The nice nurse lady gave Mummy 2 x Co-Codamol (Pain killers)
Mummy and Daddy got taken down to another room and was asked about the birth plan. (This hadn't been done yet..The Midwife was meant to be coming out on Tuesday to do the Birth Plan)
The Midwife started to run the big bath so that Mummy could have a water birth, but it was too late. I was on my way out! It was also too late for any other pain relief for Mummy. I was on my way and was not waiting around for anything.
Mummy had to get onto the big bed in preparation........After much shouting and Daddy hating.....I popped into the world 1 hour & 45 mins later at 4:55am on Monday 30th August 2010 weighing in at 5lb 3ozs.
